This is day four of the November Challenge and I have been getting some cool e-mails and comments from you. I think we all have so much to be thankful for that we would take pages and pages fo paper to fill. Thank goodness we have computers.
Today I am grateful for my husband Robert. Being in love with him has brought me incredible joy. Last night, Andrea got a chance to go with Hank to a high school football game and Rob and I had a "date" at Joe's Crab Shack. What a cool place it is. We've been there before, but it was so nice to go on our own without the little miss.
As we got out of the car, we hugged for a moment and I snuggled my face down into the delicious smell of his neck and face. Oh, how that sends me! You'd think I was a teenager still when I smell his aroma. I guess I'm silly, but I can't get enough of that. When we were courting - and yes, because of my position as a widowed missionary, courting is the word - I used to snag a shirt of his or his jacket and take it home with me. I would hold it to my face and close my eyes and drink in that fragrance. It's distinctive. Probably pheromones, but it gets me every time. I am grateful to God for the love he has given us and the special place we have in each other's lives. We aren't teens and won't be starting a family, but romance doesn't die because you are older and more "ample" than you were as a youth. Romance is more important now than ever. And by romance, I don't mean sex. After all, ther are 24 hours in a day. There was a flame of romance lit for us nearly 5 years ago and rather than weaken it has grown brighter and warmer. It glows in us. We make fools of ourselves and embarrass our daughter. We just don't care.
Like a well-woven tapestry, Rob and I are wound together in a fabric that is stronger than if we were apart. And into that fabric, He has knit the child of our later years. This is what the marriage contract was meant to be. One man, one woman, one God and children if it's His will.
Thank you, Lord for knitting our souls together with You.
Be blessed today my friends,

Penny, today I am thankful for friends like you who were there for me when I got some confusing news. You are the best.
And since I missed a day (day two), I have to add another thing I am grateful for. I am grateful that John has good medical care to keep him alive.
